Recently, the 2025 Automotive Manufacturing Super Factory Evaluation has successfully come to an end. Closely aligned with the national “Manufacturing Powerhouse” strategy, this evaluation provides important practical support for implementing the dual carbon goals and digital transformation strategies, as well as addressing the challenges of industrial chain collaboration.
The evaluation process focused on three core dimensions: green low-carbon development, digital and intelligent manufacturing, and innovation. Based on 73 quantifiable evaluation indicators, and through a rigorous full-cycle review process—including document screening, on-site verification, and final defense—overseen by an authoritative expert committee, the initiative identified and promoted benchmark factories that excel in both technological innovation and green sustainability. It aims to drive the in-depth transformation of the automotive industry towards high-end, intelligent, and green development.
Following a fair and rigorous full-process evaluation and selection, the final winners of the 2025 Automotive Manufacturing Super Factory title are (in alphabetical order by factory name, with no ranking implied): Li Auto Changzhou Base and Saike Technology Automotive Components Island-Style Intelligent Manufacturing Super Factory.
As a benchmark for the deep integration of “intelligent manufacturing + green manufacturing”, Li Auto Changzhou Base adheres to the core requirements of the dual carbon goals. It has deployed a 100MW rooftop photovoltaic project, generating over 80 million kWh of electricity annually and reducing carbon emissions by 42,900 tons. Through RTO waste gas treatment, reclaimed water reuse, and an AI-powered smart energy management system, the base has achieved a 13.5% reduction in comprehensive energy consumption. It has successively been awarded the titles of Green Supply Chain and Green Factory. In terms of intelligent manufacturing, the base integrates more than 800 industrial robots and over 4,000 connected devices, with 107 industrial models covering key production scenarios. Its unmanned inspection lines achieve millimeter-level precision, earning it certifications as a “5G Factory” and “Excellent-Level Intelligent Factory”.
As a chain-leading enterprise in Guangxi’s new energy vehicle industrial chain, Saike Technology Automotive Components Island-Style Intelligent Manufacturing Super Factory builds its core competitiveness through the dual drivers of “intelligence + green development”. For green development, the factory has built a 0.1GWh/year power battery echelon utilization production line, with a material recovery rate of over 95%. By establishing a four-level energy metering system for precise management and control, the factory reduced carbon emissions by 564.61 tons of CO₂ in 2024. In the field of intelligent manufacturing, the factory innovatively constructed a flexible system of “modular production islands + intelligent logistics hub”. Leveraging technologies such as AI visual recognition, its 12 intelligent production islands enable rapid model changeover within 15 minutes, improving order delivery efficiency by 40% and demonstrating strong strength in large-scale manufacturing.
The successful conclusion of this evaluation provides replicable and promotable practical paths for the transformation and upgrading of the automotive industry. Looking ahead, the Automotive Manufacturing Super Factory Evaluation will continue to focus on the industry’s needs for technological innovation and sustainable development, further improve the evaluation system, build a platform for industrial exchange and cooperation, encourage more enterprises to engage in core technology R&D and manufacturing model innovation, and help China’s automotive industry achieve high-quality breakthroughs in the global high-end manufacturing race.
